Assessments can range from being very simple to being quite complex in application. Additionally, exactly what types of tests provided by your treating provider will depend on whether the tests will be done by a child or an adult and what needs to be tested.


The time needed for each test will vary according to the complexity (face to face, or received by email link) of the test and the age of the client.


(Although this might vary if the psychologist determines that more/different tests need
to be administered)

The basic structure is usually as set out below, but there can be some variations depending on what your psychologist
decides to test for.


Costing of assessments can be quite complex as it depends on what tests are sent and what time is required for administration of the test, as well as the time it takes your Practitioner to Score, Interpret and write up reports, but we have worked hard to make this as easy as a process as possible regarding scoring.

  • Please speak to our Administrators about the basic process of booking appointments for assessments, and bear in mind that your Psychologist will need an Clinical Intake Appointment no matter what your requests are to determine exactly what needs to be done for you.

Your 1st Appointment - Will Be A Clinical Intake With Your Practitioner:

A Clinical Intake Interview will be done to gather and review relevant background information in order for your Practitioner to make the right decisions about the types of the assessments required to be given to you.. If the assessment is for a child, the last 10 15 minutes of this Intake Appointment will be used for the examiner to begin to build a rapport with the child before they attend their Face to Face Assessment.

A. Completion of standardised questionnaires by the adult, parent, adolescent or child might be sent to you by your Practitioner via email link after your first appointment. However, costs incurred for these tests will need to be paid for before they are sent to you. Additionally feedback for these tests can only be provided once all costs incurred have been settled.

B. Review/Research time of previous reports provided by you to your psychologist in this appointment will also be charged accordingly.

Your 2nd Appointment:  Face to Face Assessment Time:

If assessments need to be administered face to face, then this appointment slot will be used. Administration time depends on many factors but for children who may require breaks to maintain attention and motivation to complete activities a minimum of 2 hours is required and parents need to be easily accessed to take the child to the toilet if need be.

A. After this appointment a report by your practitioner will be written up and this can take from 2-6 weeks to be completed.

B. ** Please note: No Report Feedback can be provided until payment for the Reports/Sub-tests and other provided reports by the client that are read by the practitioner are paid for. An invoice for this will be provided to you by the Administration Team.

Your 3rd Appointment: Report Feedback:

A one hour feedback session to explain the results of the assessment and discuss the report with parents.
