Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) was originally used to treat borderline personality disorder. Now, we know that it can also be helpful in people with a range of disorders including depression, eating disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and addiction. At Michelle Barratt Psychology, we can help our clients learn a variety of skills, thought to help them strengthen their ability to tolerate distress, regulate emotions, communicate effectively, and be mindful and present in a given moment.
